WOWWW!! What a summer we have had so far. With some of the best boating weather we have seen in years the boating has been absolutely amazing.
Its been a very different year for everybody but given the circumstances we have had a great summer so far with 1 successful event in the books and more to come.
Despite the late start this year we rented more slips than ever before and our service department has been extremely busy keeping our boaters on the water.
We still have lots of summer, lots of exciting plans and lots of boating left, we are just getting started!
COVID-19 Update
Finally we have some good news on the COVID-19 front. We know everyone has heard enough about COVID, as have we.. So we wont spend too much time here.
First off we would like to thank all of our awesome boaters and staff for being so patient and doing such a good job of following the restrictions. Its been very tough to enforce and still keep the marina an enjoyable atmosphere but we have truly had an awesome start to the summer and managed to still have fun while playing by the rules.
The Ontario Government has announced on Friday July 17th the province will be rolling out the 3rd phase of the gradual re-opening.
What does this mean for our boaters?
This enables our boaters to be able to bring a limited amount of guests to their boat outside of their immediate family, of course while following the social distancing rules still in affect by the province. We still ask everyone to follow the rules when entering the office with regards to masks and hand sanitizer located at the front desk.
The washrooms have been left open to date to keep traffic in the office to a minimum for obtaining key fobs. The washrooms will return to a normal schedule effective immediately, if you currently have a key FOB it should work normally. If you do not have key fobs we will have them in the office for pickup.
We will also be opening the Boaters Lounge starting Monday July 20th, FINALLY! The lounge will be accessible to seasonal customers from 8 am – 6 pm daily. Access can be made during off hours by using the customer key fob at the north entrance.
This also gives us the confidence to open up to transient boaters. This was up to our discretion and we made the decision early on to focus on our own boaters safety, we will be taking transient bookings starting Monday
